'Anime' is 'Anime! In Anime sometimes you might not really get or feel how the character feels, so, as we all know, Japanese People are really smart people, they have created those anime 'emotions' to let us feel and get exactly what the anime character feels!:

The Sweat Props (Rain Drops)

Might be the most emotion used in Comedy animes, those little rain drops appear normally when one person notices that the another is being foolish, stupid, crazy or doing/thinking of some unbelievable things.. Those Sweet Props can take the place of saying "How stupid are you.." and these things lol! ^.^ i really like this emotion!

Anger Cross

Grrrr Grrrr (^.^) heh Also mostly in comedy animes and comedy scenes, this anger cross shown when someone wants to fight, attack, or becomes mad/angry. really cool emotion! sometimes it makes the character more evilly! specially Kyo in Fruits Basket ^O^

The Rains Of The Saddens

Oh.. our character is so sad, then.. it's raining! heh yeah that's what happen usually, and you might also see the character run out with tears, then fall down.. ~(@.@)~

The Small Sheet papers

YATA! We have at least won! lol, one of the another things that mostly shown in anime, the small sheer papers, those are used in three ways, (1) when someone won or did nice thing, and usually it's colored. (2) when sending a stealing note (i.e: I am going to steal the art on 12:00.. - which happens in Detective Conan and D.N.Angel), and (3) to protect an area from evil sprits and/or demons, as the Japanese people think..
